Look at these guys! When I learned how to paint miniatures way back in 2003, this was the result. I didn’t water down my paints, and I covered the models in black ink in an effort to get a weathered look. What I ended up with was a model that lost detail from thick paint, that also appeared to have black primer showing through giving it a lazy look. It didn’t matter though, I thought they were awesome!
Now
Thirteen years later I’m still learning how to paint models and enjoying the hobby. I’ve learned a lot of techniques that I am going to show you in these guides. I may never win a Golden Demon but my models have a table top quality that I am proud to show. There is no right or wrong on how good your miniatures are, or should be. Your goal should be to paint your models to a quality that makes you happy.
